December's movie is White Christmas. This 1954 Classic American Christmas Musical (singalong version!) tells the story of two famous Broadway producers (Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye) who meet two talented sisters (Rosemary Clooney and Vera Ellen) just starting in the nightclub scene. Soon they are all on a train to Vermont right before Christmas. Their dreams of a White Christmas are dashed when snow is not what greets them at the train station. Singing, dancing, match making, and rustic Vermont charm make a perfect backdrop for the Irving Berlin tunes this musical was made to showcase. Join the Friends for White Christmas on Fri., Dec. 20, 2019 at 7 p.m. in the Winfrey Houston Theater at the Stillwater Community Center. Free popcorn and water will be served at the event!
